"Las Bovedas"

Another vacation painting, this time is Panama City's Las Bovedas.
This trip to Panama has really inspired me - I should go away on vacation more often...

Portales de Chascomus - Series

This is the third painting in the series, titled Portales de Chascomus #3.
My apologies for having the image un-cropped, I'm experiencing technical difficulties with Blogger.

As I finish one painting in the series I go back to the others and make adjustments, retouching a shadow here, a color there... Some time has passed since I started the series, and I grow as an artist with each painting. This revisiting of the older ones is an effort to make the series more consistent.

Series

Painting a "series" is fun and interesting.
On my last trip to Argentina I visited a town called Chascomus, with a very interesting history and old colonial architecture. I became fascintated with the old buildings, particularly the doors, so I took a lot of photos.
I will paint a series of doors and portals of Chascomus, hoping to capture their unique style and the mystery behind them.
Here is the first one, called Portals of Chascomus #1.
